I love photographing elopement weddings, such a lovely intimate day for just the two of you to enjoy. Rachael & Anthony were joined by witnesses of Anthony’s Mum and sister and Rachael’s Mum and Auntie and her Dad even appeared via facetime as he couldn’t travel from France – thanks again Covid!
Despite coronavirus fears in the country the happy couple had a fantastic day. I met them at the venue, Briery Wood Hotel in Windermere. Set off the road in beautiful grounds it was perfect, if not a bit rainy though – pesky Lake District weather!
Rachael looked amazing in her tea length gown with those fantastic shiny shoes! It was a lovely personal ceremony in the front reception room with lots of laughter. Fortunately by the time the ceremony had finished there was a brief break in the rain for us to head up to the pagoda for some photographs there and in the stunning grounds too.
Such a happy friendly couple, their love and happiness is truly infectious.
I left the guests and happy Mr and Mrs having a stunning Beatrix Potter themed afternoon tea, the perfect way to celebrate your wedding in the Lake District!
If you are looking to elope in the Lake District, give me a shout. I do small wedding packages for just a few hours which are perfect for intimate wedding days.
