Grange over Sands is the furthest south of Cumbria for weddings, its a lovely place right on the seaside with Lancaster a stone’s throw away. Netherwood Hotel is set back on the hillside with lovely views of the sea. As Lake District wedding photographers we love to explore new venues and the Netherwood Hotel is lovely.
Phoebe had her own little turret tower to get ready in separate from the hotel itself. There were lots of excitable flowergirls getting ready there and after hair and makeup was complete there was time for champagne.
Phoebe’s dress was stunning and a surprise for everyone – I love a dress reveal! Andrew and the groomsmen were waiting on the terrace, fortunately the rain stopped just in time for the ceremony to take place outdoors.
The bridesmaids walked down the aisle first with one of them even doing somersaults too! The ceremony was lovely and then everyone had a chance to throw petals afterwards.
With the weather being so nice it was great to be able to do photos outside with the guests and the bride and groom too before heading into the reception. I love the table decorations – each guest had a personalised note and photo of them too which was a great idea!
In the evening a band played for the first dance and Phoebe changed dresses, well why not!
