Elopement weddings are awesome, just the two of you or add in a few special family members and you have a day to remember. The Lake District is such and amazing place for an elopement. Imagine getting ready with views of Lake Windermere!
I have photographed several weddings before at Merewood House Hotel, it never fails to impress me with its position on the hills above Windermere. The hotel is stunning inside and so cosy in the winter with a roaring fire and of course a dramatic staircase for brides to make their entrance!
David and Shannon opted to bring a few close family members to their wedding at Merewood. Shannon’s Dad met her on the stairs for her grand entrance and then the ceremony itself in the room overlooking the stunning gardens was fab. A few tears from the guests were had before we headed outside into the sunshine.
The grounds of the hotel look amazing throughout the year with lots of stunning flowers, long grasses and the main lawn with fountain. We took a little tour around the grounds before I left the happy couple to enjoy their afternoon tea.
