There are lots of hotels in Windermere that specialise in small, intimate elopement weddings. Briery Wood Hotel is set up on the hills above the lake and is a lovely location for a summery wedding.
Beth & Ryan have been together for a long time and chose to head to Windermere for a small elopement wedding with their friend and Ryan’s sister as witnesses. It was a lovely sunny summer day for the wedding and the grounds of the hotel look amazing for photos.
They were all getting ready together in their room when I arrived, there was just time for a few last minute outfit adjustments before they headed outside for the ceremony. I love outdoor ceremonies and Briery Wood has a lovely summerhouse perfect for intimate weddings.
The happy couple wrote personal vows for each other which was great personal touch for a wedding, after the wedding they headed off for drinks. We had a chance to have a wander around the gardens for photos. I love the long grasses and the little ponds around the gardens and the pop of colour with the hydrangeas. Perfect for photos.
We left them to head off on a lake cruise – what a way to end the perfect elopement wedding day in the Lake District. Congratulations to you both!! xx
