It was a first time visit for me to the Far Boathouse which is right on the shores of Ullswater. Ana & Michael were staying there for a mini break and getting married at Gretna while they were there!
They chose to have some intimate portraits of the both of them before they headed off for their ceremony in the grounds of the boathouse and why not! It is an absolutely stunning location – so peaceful with the views of the lake and set back from the road.
With a balcony overlooking the scenery and cosy furnishings it was the ideal place for an elopement! Ana looked amazing in her bridal jumpsuit and Michael looked very smart in tweed. I met them as Ana was having her final touches to her makeup and we captured some photos inside before going for an explore by the lake.
On the fells above the boathouse the owner of the Boathouse who was absolutely lovely drove us down to the lake further on for some more photos, we had fun walking around and trying to capture the sheep in the background too!
Such a lovely relaxed way to start your wedding day and I wish you both much love and happiness for the future!
