Alex & Emily, Hargate Hall wedding

Bride and groom kiss in grounds, Hargate Hall weddings, Derbyshire

Paul and I know Alex as a friend so we were really pleased when he asked us to photograph his wedding to Emily. They were planning a relaxed intimate family day at Hargate Hall. They were lucky to have selected a day in which restrictions had finally lifted at last!

We headed down to Hargate Hall in the heart of the Peak District for their big day. It was so lovely that they got to have the whole hall for bridal prep and the ceremony. Plenty of space for Emily’s bridesmaid squad who were helpfully planning away, making brews and adjusting dresses!

Downstairs Alex was waiting nervously as the guests arrived. The ceremony was lovely, everyone likes a big entrance down a staircase and Emily looked stunning in her gown. The ceremony was fantastic and then the happy couple headed out into the sunshine under a cloud of confetti.

Guests could mingle in the grounds and Alex was surprised with a crazy golf set up which was entertaining for everyone. In the grounds the marquee was dressed spectacularly by Emily and her family. I love the decor and the attention to detail. They must have worked so hard. The cake was so cute with the little toppers mini versions of the bride and groom and their cats.

The speeches were fantastic and then followed a feast from a fish and chip – what a great idea for wedding catering! Pudding was ice cream too – my fave! In the evening the guests gathered around a fire pit and then headed indoors for dancing followed by a sparkler send off – the perfect way to end a fantastic wedding day.

Congratulations to you both! xx
