It was a summery day for Jamie & Jon’s wedding at Oakhill Hotel in Matlock. Unfortunately the rain came along just before the ceremony! Oakhill Hotel is a lovely little venue in the heart of Derbyshire with fab gardens.
I met Jamie excitedly getting her hair done by her fab bridesmaid and getting visits from the flower girls who were very excited for the big day. I loved Jamie’s dress and her summery bouquet of sunflowers.
Downstairs Jon and the flower girls and pageboy were preparing the room for the wedding as the rain put paid to plans to get married outside. Not to worry though as the ceremony was equally as amazing inside.
After an emotional ceremony it was time to head outside for photographs, confetti and a wander around the gardens. Fortunately the rain had stopped by then! There were lots of amazing places for photographs and the couple’s beloved dogs made an appearance for photos too – so cute!
Inside the marquee were lovely table settings with mini figures of each guest and a cake which tempted all the little ones! The speeches followed an afternoon tea and were fantastic with top marks going to page boy Dexter for his poem!
Afterwards the guests were entertained in the evening by a magician and a dance game too before the dancing kicked off with the happy couple.
