Living in Cumbria we have access to the lovely Lake District for weddings but also we are right on the border with Scotland so not far from the lovely Gretna Green whose historical past makes it the perfect location for an elopement wedding or vow renewal.
Victoria and David chose to renew their vows at Gretna Green in the Old Blacksmith’s Shop. It was a windy but sunny spring day for their wedding. They brought along their excited children too which was lovely.
I met them before we headed inside and the ceremony was fab as always, the registrars are amazing and I love the banging on the anvil after the vows!
After the ceremony we headed outside for photos and the kids even brought their own sunglasses props which they looked suitably cool in!
In the grounds of Gretna their is a maze as well as love locks. The maze is great fun to run around!
