I love photographing weddings in the Lake District and Merewood House in Windermere is one of my favourite venues for a wedding day.
Its a lovely big house with fantastic grounds and views of the lake and is so cosy in the winter. Sarah & Daniel got married in December, it was a chilly but fab day to get cosy by the fire. I met Daniel and their son who was the excited best man/ring bearer.
Sarah made her grand entrance down the amazing staircase and then the intimate wedding took place with fab views of the gardens. After the ceremony we got some photos inside by the Christmas tree before braving the weather outside.
Despite having to rush inside when the downpour started we still got some lovely photos outside of the happy family together. A lovely way to end my 2023 season!
