Danniella & Jack - New House Farm, Lorton

We were all basking in a mini heatwave in June so it was a fab sunny start to the day for Danniella & Jack’s wedding at the amazing New House Farm, nestled in the valley of Lorton near Crummock in the Lake District. We love to photograph weddings in the Lake District.

We met Danniella and her bride tribe in the farmhouse getting ready and after a few veil adjustments it was time for the grand reveal of her dress to her bridesmaids and brother. So lovely when the dress is a surprise! Meanwhile Jack and his groomsmen were posing outside with their wedding transport, a fab Landrover.

The ceremony was set up outside in the sunshine with a lovely flower display by xxx. Becky & Josh duo were providing a lovely musical setting for guests and as Danniella walked up the aisle there were a few teary eyes! The ceremony was lovely and again there were a few tears during the vows, afterwards the happy couple punched the air as they left the wedding in a cloud of confetti and enjoyed mingling with the guests in the gardens.

We were spoilt for choice for locations for photographs in the gardens, even using the lovely field with the horses who were interested in eating Danniella’s bouquet. Inside the barn the tables were dressed with fairy lights and labelled with the couple’s favourite fells.

Guests feasted on a lovely meal and then the speeches started. After lots of laughter and a few more tears we headed out again in the fantastic B’spoke by Spike’s landrover for a drive around the Lakes for some photos as the sun was setting. Jack was great at carrying Danniella over streams and they were even skipping and jumping through the grass – its clear to see how much they love living in the Lakes.

We arrived back in time for the evening to kick off in style with the first dance and cake cutting followed by an amazing saxophone player and some incredibly awesome dance moves!
