Cameron contacted me to book in a Lake District proposal shoot in the run up to the festive period last year to say that he would be in his home town of Keswick over Christmas and would like to propose to his girlfriend.

He wanted to head up to the top of the Castlehead wood which has amazing views of Derwentwater and the fells beyond. The perfect Lake District proposal location! Cameron set up a time of just before New Years and fortunately it was a dry day although it was very windy!

I arrived early to try and attempt to hide or pretend to be a tourist and nearly got blown away! The views were stunning and it wasn’t long before they both arrived at the top of the woods where the rocks were. Just as I got into position Cameron went down on one knee and it was a beautiful moment. I absolutely LOVE being around to witness such special moments in people’s lives!

After sharing congratulations and getting some photographs up on the viewpoint we headed down through the forest for some more photos and I was filled in on the excitement of wedding plans!

I left the happy couple heading off for breakfast in Keswick. Such a great morning and a stunning location!
I wish you both lots of happy times planning our your ideal wedding day!
xx
