After a rainy start the sun was shining for Alex & Ben’s wedding day on a spring Sunday.

We met Ben and his groomsmen in Sheffield at the pub where the nerves were kicking in! Alex had arranged a surprise vintage Sheffield bus to pick them up which Ben loved! They all headed off to Retford for the wedding.
Ye Olde Bell wedding
Alex and her bridesmaid gang were waiting in the hotel where bridal prep was in full swing – I love Alex’s gown and her brilliant glittery trainers! After an emotional moment with her mum it was time for the walk up the aisle. They were married outside under a pagoda which was lovely. Afterwards there was copious amounts of confetti and some pretty windy group photos outside. We also managed to get back on the bus for some portraits too.
Inside the reception room was dressed with lovely details – each table was named after a different Yankee Candle scent and guests feasted on the candy cart and wrote messages for them on little hearts too.
The speeches were very emotional and funny too – the pageboys couldn’t contain their excitement!
After some lovely afternoon tea guests enjoyed the sunshine in the gardens before the dancing started.
