One of my most favourite things to capture is a proposal. I absolutely love all the planning, Tanvir contacted me a few months before asking for the best place in the Lake District to propose.

Having photographed a few before it was good to give him some options. As they were planning to stay near Windermere I suggested Rayrigg Meadows. Its such a lovely spot with stunning views of the lake. Its usually super quiet and private which is key if you have someone who doesn’t want to draw too much attention!

Tanvir texted me to let me know he had set off and I hid in the woodland surrounding the lake. Despite a little set back moving two girls off the jetty he managed to pop the question just as the sun was setting which was so lovely.

Once I capture the special moment I can then jump out and shout congratulations – its such a lovely moment for me, all the planning, the excitement and the acting like a super spy ninja pays off!

We then had a little photo session around the jetty and by the lake before heading back to their car where Tanvir had managed to hide flowers, chocs and champagne in the boot! After a glass of champagne we headed back to the the hill above the lake for some sunset photos. Such a lovely way to end the photo session.

Tanvir and Samha headed off out for their meal in Bowness and I headed home to send them a few sneaky photos that evening.

Huge congratulations to you both – it was a genuine pleasure to capture your special moment!
If you are wondering about proposing to your other half drop me a message and we can chat about how best to capture this.
xx
