We love photographing weddings in Sheffield. When Ruqing and Xue contacted me to say they were coming over from China for an elopement wedding in Sheffield I was only to happy to photograph their big day.
With a few friends gathered at the Dam House in Crookes Valley Park the ceremony took place outdoors with some lovely personal speeches and then we all had cake and champagne! Afterwards we took advantage of the spring blossom in Crookes Valley Park for photos and headed to nearby Weston Park where the happy couple were in awe of the architecture.
The beauty of Sheffield is that its just a short drive away from the Peak District. We particularly love Surprise View (just above Hathersage). The views of the valley are spectacular and standing on a rock in your wedding dress is a lot of fun! Thankfully the heavens opened on our way back!
