I love winter weddings and elopements for just the two of you are always super special. Paula and Mike opted to go for a special two of us package at Merewood House in Windermere followed by a big celebration next year.
Merewood House is tucked away off the main road with lovely views of the lake and fantastic grounds. At Christmas time its lovely and cosy too with a lovely roaring fire downstairs.
Paula was upstairs making final preparations and looking out on the views when I arrived and Mike was patiently waiting downstairs popping photos of friends and family in the ceremony room so they could be around them as they got married – I love this idea!
The ceremony was lovely and personal with the fantastic views to look out on as they were married. It was then time for a little champagne and a wander around the grounds in the winter sunshine.
We then took a little trip to the pier at Ambleside nearby for a walk along the jetty as the sun was going down, what a fantastic way to celebrate your wedding. It was a pleasure to capture your big day, I wish you much love and happiness for the future
