When I first spoke to Craig & Dan over facetime I was so excited to hear about their plans for their big day. Their excitement was infectious and they fell in love with Merewood House in Windermere as their wedding venue. Merewood is a stunning hotel with a cosy feel inside and outside the most stunning grounds with view of the lake.
Fortunately for Craig & Dan the weather gods were shining down and the ceremony could take place outside with on the patio with the lakeside views. They both had amazing outfits including those Manolo shoes Dan!
The ceremony was lovely with some personal readings and a fantastic harpist as well. After the ceremony there was time for a LOT! of confetti and then onto some photos with family and time to chill out in the grounds of the hotel.
Indoors the reception room was dressed with lovely details and a fab cake. The DJ was setting up for a surprise Bongo Bingo game during the meal which was so funny with dance offs and everyone got involved!
Speeches were lovely too with Craig’s Dad singing too. Such a great personal touch to the big day.
Before the dancing kicked off we managed to sneak off with the happy couple down the road to the lakeside for some photos as the sun went down. We were back in time for the cake and dancing to begin.
What can I say, such a fantastic couple, who felt more like friends than clients, we wish you both all the love and happiness for the future!
