Easter wedding inspiration

We have had a couple of days last week that were so sunny you could smell Spring in the air – it’s one of my favourite times of the year when the flowers spring up out of nowhere and the blossom trees start to bloom.

With that in mind and the fact that the Easter holiday is around the corner I thought I would dedicate a Wedding Wednesday post to some Easter wedding inspiration.

The pictures below are from Jo & Dave’s Easter wedding last year – I love the use of mini eggs and little chicks for their wedding cupcakes and the pansy pots they had dotted around the church and reception venue. Having afternoon tea with homemade cakes and even homemade jam favours is my idea of a dream wedding day! I think it’s lovely that all the family got involved in helping out with the wedding – granny’s homemade jam looks amazing!

There are loads of fantastic DIY tutorials online for springtime wedding goodies – check this one out for making a liberty print garland - so pretty!

Spring flowers are gorgeous too – check out Jo’s tulip and thistle bouquet and Katie’s unusual tulip bouquet too – these are white parrot tulips – stunning!

Finally – what Easter wedding would be complete without an Easter egg hunt or even an egg and spoon race – Fran & Scott’s wedding party had a girls vs boys heat of an egg and spoon race – hilarious!

Right – I’m off to search for another bag of mini eggs..!

Really looks like a fun afternoon with the egg and spoon race, you really captured the moment.
I imagine its also a good way to get the guests mixing and having fun.

  2. I have never seen an egg and spoon race at a wedding, looks like great fun. possibly not if its raining though!

  3. An egg and spoon race at a wedding? I love it!! Looks like the guests did too. :)
